Glad! That is soooo Gross!!! I would never ever eat cockroaches! Not even if they spiced it up and made it into a bug jerky. Not even if they were willing to pay me a million dollars. Eewwww!!!

Cap, when I was a teenager, I used to read all kinds of books - autobiographies, bios, UFO, romance, westerns, and sci-fi. I was never into food. It was just something that I needed to eat or else my stomach would hurt. When I ate food, it was a struggle to finish it. I would prefer to just enough spoonfuls to Satisfy my stomach and that's it. So, in order to finish my food, I would bring a book to the dinner table, and while reading, I was automatically shoving the food in my mouth. That was the only way for me to finish my food.

I remember reading one of those futuristic sci-fi space travel stories in which the space travelers would pop up a pill into their mouth - and tada! It was a Whole Meal! I was sooo envious of them. I remember I kept hoping that the scientists at that time would make a real food pill like that. I still think about it, hoping that it will come to fruition one day.

ya know , a pill for a meal is now a reality and on its way to market . it will be earthshaking for everyone from busy workaholics to people with eating disorders . id use them altho ive always loved preparing foods . i , to this day cant think about breakfast without the stench of army chipped beef gravy in my nostrils / mind . we called it , appropriately, s*it on a shingle . i dont know who was eating that crap but theyve ruined my life . everywhere that breakfast is being prepared im gingerly testing the air for the stench of that stuff .
tried some apple juice with edna yesterday morning . not happ'nin . it was urine colored kerosene .
oh well . hepc meds notoriously wreck ones appetite . on one treatment attempt i got under 150 lbs from near 180 .
i think our bodys are ever evolving for good or bad . i already need a pill to shut my brain off at night . the federal gov is pushing sleep hygiene as an alternative to sleep aids . thats easy for a govt exec with a belly full of booze who just had a romp with a prostitute on a taxpayer travel expense card ..
ill drink some " malk " and ruminate about the army sos for a while i guess , then switch off to how bad that apple juice sucked ..

My breakfast is usually the Spicy Big Dad beef jerky while driving to work on work days. That's usually enough to stave off the pending headaches. I think I will try the apple and peanut butter. Very simple, no need to stand bouncing with impatience while the toast is in the toaster.

Dinner is last night's leftovers..canned food warmed up in the micro. I would have much preferred my Lean Cuisine chicken fettuccine but I didn't want last night's food to go to waste.

Use a few canned chipoltes, about half a cup of water, cilantro and roared tomatoes. You can pan roast the tomatoes on the stove top. When cooked enough put all ingredients in a processor and add some salt. Using a couple chipolte with one tomatoes gives enough to decide if you like it ...then adjust

Does any one have a good recipe for Chipolte sauce? I tried the ones on the internet one with mayo& chili pepers, one with ranch and one with sour cream. My son wants it to taste like the Chipolte sauce at El Pollo Loco. That was dinner last night. Grilled chicken, spanish rice, and red beans with the chip sauce that did not turn out right.

Captain, if the doctor asked if you had diabetes then probably the alarmingly low stat was your blood sugar level. Typically only diabetics have problems with that ... or people who go waaaay too long without eating.

I had a really hard time training myself to have breakfast. But it is like other habits -- if you keep doing it long enough you'll do it more or less automatically. It doesn't have to be limited to "traditional" morning foods. Some protein and some carbohydrates is good, so a glass of milk is fine. So is a bowl of stew. Or a grilled cheese sandwich. Or chicken livers and mashed potatoes. Or apple wedges and peanut butter. In a pinch, the occasional Snickers bar is better than nothing.

I know you want to save money for a big special vacation, but it won't do you any good to have enough money but not enough health to get there.

Take care of you, dear Captain!

Probably was the flight Kaz. You are actually making it worse by drinking so much water. Hot sweet coffee will probably help in the morning or a caffinated soda. If you have high blood pressure contact your Dr in the morning. Keep those feet up and avoid tight socks. Did you drink a lot of alcohol on the flight home? eating is fine but keep the fluids under control till the swelling goes down. Are you diabetic?Dr can prescribe a diuretic if they don't go down on their own.

Thanks cap yes i had a good time didnt meet anyone apart from a sleazy spanish guy who was on business there and was stupid enough to take his wedding ring off but it left a tan mark!!!!!! i told him if youre going to cheat on your wife get some fake tan to cover your finger!!!! My only holiday whine was there were too many french there and i hate the french! yeh had a few run-ins with them as they are so damn ignorant but it was great to see their faces when they realised i could speak french! Yeh its the only nationality i hate hate hate!!! I thought i was safe enough going in july as the french take thier holidays in August so i got quite a shock when a huge coach load arrived!
Food was to die for and really cheap tapas every night and as i didnt meet up with anyone i had plenty of money for eating out and shopping! not much else to do when youre on your own?
So next trip Indiana!!!!!!!! and dont worry ill buy you some millk!!
Good youre going to see the grandkids again you should post some photos for us! I never had a granddad which i would have loved to have had, could have explained a few dysfunctional truths about family and saved me a few bob on therapy!!

i figured the dang headaches out . i cant skip breakfast anymore like i have for virtually all my life . the body fat doesnt exist right now to live on till dinnertime . my customer is a doc , he enlightened me bout hypoglycemia . i choked down some hardees biscuits n stuff on the way
to work yesterday and the headache eased right up .
what a bummer , there are few breakfast items that i care much for .
had a fasting blood test last week and the doc asked me if i was diabetic -- said something was outrageously low , i didnt catch what it was .
ill get something in here for a quick breakfast if its nothing but fish heads on a stick ..
think ill wash off about an inch of hydraulic oil and stump dust and go see my aunt , er , that nurse with the nice looking behind who keeps sneaking me free lunch .. ive eaten better jail food but never served by such a cute old gal ..

if i fired my caregiver i could end up with a worse one jeanne . headache is just nearly the only side effect of olysio . not a big deal in the grand scheme of things i guess . the old interferon meds would cause depression you never thought possible along with paranoid delusions and phsycosis .
the dam headache exists this morning pre coffee or anything .
at least these meds work . the old stuff had a miserable 35 - 40 % success rate ..
ill go run a chainsaw , thatll settle it down ..

Dinner was simple. Leftover Lean Cuisine from last night's dinner, and one of those microwavable bean and beef burrito. Sis didn't cook rice. I didn't cook rice. I'll eat oatmeal tonight around 11pm to tide me over until tomorrow morning.

I forgot to buy a carton of eggs today, so no eggs for breakfast tomorrow. I guess breakfast will just be salami sandwich. I think tonight I will google Simple recipes for macaroni and tuna. I don't like mayonnaise so I'm going to find alternatives...with lots of onions.

This morning, sis and I had breakfast at a restaurant. She wanted to try their mushroom appetizer. I put some on my plate. My over-medium eggs was very very oily. Her mushrooms were very very oily, and had NO taste at all. I put some blackpepper. Still tasteless. So, I had to put salt. Sis was very disappointed on the tasteless mushroom. I told sis that I may not know how to cook, but I bet I can cook mushroom that would have taste. So...that is my next goal. Look for some Simple recipes to cook mushroom. And then make it for sis. (Today, she bought me a computer chair that cost $88.00. I'm sitting on it right now.) The least I can do is try to cook her favorite food. P.S... Sis couldn't believe that the restaurant also didn't know how to make toast bread.
