My husband does that too the family has come to call it vulturing because he's so tall and he doesn't just follow whoever his target is around, he hovers over leaning in and looking down but not engaging in conversation at all. I know he can't help it, I know it's silly for me to allow it bother me, but, it's seriously nerve wracking when he's doing it. We have developed a series of distractions to help him snap out of the fixation. Music (both listening and banging away on a keyboard), various television programs, outdoor activities, etc. I'm blessed to have a lot of adult kids who will take him off my hands for a few hours now and then too. I hope you can find ways to get a break. You matter and you can only take good care of him if you are well taken care of too.

My friend had an aide but her DH kept coming into her room to ask what she was doing. She couldn't even recoup from a hospital stay. So if you have someone "sit" with him, get out of the house.
