She has diabetes, hemolytic anemia and newly diagnosed lymphoma. She has always disregarded her diabetes and eaten candy all the way thru. She is now in and out of progressing dementia and has become angrier, uglier and and more routine in yelling at and to her CGiver to go out and get her bags of candy. She doesn't and won't, but what is the best way to address this repeatedly without expending all energy each time? It seems she spends so much time telling her why she can't and shouldn't do it.....

Thank you....

I like sugar free Riesen pieces, will that make her happy? If she is agitated, her blood sugar might be low. Can you check it?

As long as we don't tell her something is SFree, it's OK, she doesn't know, she likes it. So I keep advising the CGiver to go that route, but it's a slow process....plus, Mom is sooooo suspicious, but there's choice now. She must be strong so she CAN be strong.....

It's mostly the daily repetitive yelling of the same thing........ that's an issue
