Find Care & Housing
Raquel, I would give them a scenario (preferably one that has actually occurred) and ask them how they would approach it, solve it or if they couldn't, what next steps would they take. Like, your LO refuses to get into the shower, or eat, or engages in such-and-such. You need to suss out if they have not only experience in dealing with your LO's specific challenges, but that they have basic common sense and problem-solving skills. You also need to know if they understand boundaries and where they lie, and if they have compassion and empathy. Good luck!

I would ask about their experience working with the elderly. I would specifically point out what they need to know about your mom.

Best wishes to you and your mom.
