Are you asking about funding for assisted living? In your state, Georgia, there are a couple Medicaid waivers. Contact the Georgia department of health and human services, that’s where you would apply for assistance.

Does he have Social Security Disability. If not, sign him up now. Once he is 62 he can't get SSD he will get regular SS but u get more if found disabled before 62. He will get Medicare and Medicaid for his health insurance. Lawyers are not allowed to charge. They get payment thru the retro back payment. For now you can try for Medicaid homecare if he needs help that way.

In the meantime, try Social Services and see if he fits the criteria for SSI. This is a supplimental insurance not SS. He will receive Medicaid health with this.

Your Office of Aging may have some information and resources. You may want to try ur state and CountyDisabilities Departments.
